Every day in Ontario alone more than 30 people are affected by an acquired brain injury. The members of the Ontario Association of Community Based Boards for Acquired Brain Injury Services (OACBABIS) are making a difference in these peoples lives.

OACBABIS is a not for profit unincorporated association of not for profit charitable providers of rehabilitation services to persons living with the effects of an acquired brain injury residing in the province of Ontario.

Mission Statement

Excellence in community based services for persons in Ontario who live with the effects of head injury.

Objective

The principle goals are: to provide recognized, excellent, accessible community based services and to foster a responsive provincial framework.

The Objectives are:

  1. To raise the profile of community based services. (targets: other services providers, consumers, funding sources, etc..)

  2. To facilitate flexible, portable, lifelong access to individualized support services.

  3. To maximize the quality of community based service provisions throughout Ontario.

  4. To assure open communication and effective collaboration with all interest groups.
